Things are heating up at the Nürburgring as MINI has started testing the 2012 John Cooper Works (JCW) Roadster on the legendary track.
Looking virtually production ready, the high-performance model is distinguished by an aggressive body kit, a ventilated hood, beefier brakes and a center-mounted dual exhaust system.
Like the recently unveiled JCW Coupe, the Roadster will feature a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with a peak output of 211 PS (155 kW / 207 hp) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. It will be connected to a six-speed manual transmission, which will likely enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in approximately 6.6 seconds.
