Jaguar E-type sculpture revealed for Goodwood Festival of Speed

    Celebrates the model's 50th anniversary

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Jaguar E-type, a 28 meter (92 feet) tall sculpture has been erected in front of the Goodwood House.
Designed by Gerry Judah, the impressive structure weighs 150 tonnes (165 tons) and is constructed out of steel tubes that were originally intended for use in gas pipelines.
According to Judah, "The E-type is famous for its shape but too small and delicate to hoist into the air. I thought I would like to express the form of the car itself without any embellishments. Everyone recognizes the E-type, the shape speaks for itself. You can't compete with it, you can't digress from it."
